I get a lot of the same questions from my clients, so to make it easier on you, I've answered some of the those questions for you already (although you can ask me again if you need to)!
How far in advance do I need to PLACE AN ORDER?
I prefer to have at least 2 weeks notice for all cake or cupcake orders. For wedding cake orders however, I require at least 2 months advanced notice. Because all the work is done by a team of one, there are only so many cakes that can be done per week while still maintaining an excellent product. Sometimes, last minute orders are possible, so feel free to ask!
Is there a minimum order for cupcakes, cookies or other small baked goods?
Yes, orders for smaller baked goods such as cupcakes and cookies must be made for a minimum of 2 dozen. Occasionally, special requests for less can be accommodated.
Where does your pricing start?
Plain/sprinkled cupcakes are $24/dozen.. Cupcakes with fondant or chocolate décor are priced based on specific request. Mini cupcakes are $15/dozen, subject to a surcharge for extra décor as well. All cake pricing is quoted on an individual basis, usually ranging from $2-$4 a slice.
Do I have to come to you to pick up my order, or will you deliver?
Deliveries are definitely available. For any location within 15 miles of me, there is a straight delivery charge of $15. Any location further than that will be given a delivery quote via email, over the phone, or during a consultation. Pick-ups would be from my home in Waxahachie, TX.
Do you provide tastings?
Yes, but only for weddings and exceptionally large orders. Tastings are without charge and include a selection of up to 3 cake and 3 frosting flavors to be chosen by the client.
What is your payment policy? How can I pay you?
I only require payment in advance for wedding cakes or orders over $200. For weddings, the full amount is due within 2 weeks of the date, usually accompanied by a meeting to verify all the details. I accept payment by cash, check (paid out to Dianne Rodriguez), or a credit/debit card.
